Ario Vape Contour Max Instructions
The Contour Max is the the most power packed magnetic vape battery on the market. It is small and compact and the 900mAh battery is designed to last. The large opening allows it to work with all 510 thread oil cartridges, magnetic cartridges and with the Ario Vape Wax Stick.
For optimal performance, fully charge before first use.
Charging: The Contour Max has a charge indicator light (located right below the button). The light will turn red when you have <20% remaining. When the charge indicator light turns red, plug the included micro usb cord into the slot at the side of the vape. Charge the battery with a wall charger (not in your car or with a computer) *never use a fast charger*. Always use a wall charger with a power output of 2A or less. When it is charging, the power light will be red. When it is fully charged, the red light will turn green and then turn off.
To use with 510 thread Cartridges or Wax Stick: Screw your favorite oil cartridge or the Wax Stick onto one of the magnetic rings. The rings are marked with either an "I", "H" or "S". They all function the same, these letters can help you keep track of what is inside of your oil cartridge (since they are rarely marked). After installing the magnet ring, insert the cartridge into the device. Turn the pen on by clicking the button 5 times quickly. The light ring will flash when the device turns on or off. Press and hold the button (the light ring around the button will illuminate to indicate it is on) and inhale on your cartridge.
To use with magnetic Cartridges: Magnetic cartridges can be inserted into the device without an adapter ring. Be aware that all cartridges leak to a certain extent and you will need to periodically clean the inside of the device to keep the contacts free of oil build up.
Power on or off: Click the button 5 times quickly (5 times within 3 seconds).
Change power level: The Contour Max has 3 power settings to maximize your vaping experience. To change the power, click the button 3 times. The light will flash, indicating the power level.
Please note that you can use any power setting for most 510 threaded cartridges, but the pen should be set to High when using the Wax Stick.
Preheat/Melt Mode: Depending on the age of your Contour Max, it either has a Preheat function or Melt Mode. To enter into this mode, click the button 2 times (after you have turned it on). Earlier versions of the Contour Max have a preheat mode. This is indicated by a rainbow light on the light ring after clicking the button 2 times. Newer versions have been updated to maximize the Ario Vape Wax Stick (sold separately). Melt Mode is indicated by the color ring lighting up the same color as the power level you are in. Melt Mode is a continuous power mode that can be used to easily melt your concentrate with the Wax Stick when in the highest power setting. Simply load some fresh concentrate into your Wax Stick, set the power level to High (indicated by a red color ring) and click the button 2 times. The Wax Stick will heat up and start to melt your concentrate.
Product tastes burnt - Change to a lower power setting.
Cartridge isn't working - Unscrew your cartridge and check to see if it, the magnet or the pen need to be cleaned of residual oil (visually inspect where the parts connect). To clean residual oil, power off the device and then moisten the end of a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol. Wipe down both the bottom of the cartridge and the contact pin (where the device connects to the cartridge or magnet). Let the pen and cartridge air dry. Once dry, reinstall cartridge.
Light won't turn on when button is pressed - Press button 5 times quickly (5 times within 3 seconds)
Pen won't turn on when button is pressed 5 times - These are exceptionally reliable batteries, but the cadence of how quickly or slowly you press the button will determine if it will turn on or off. We recommend slowing your cadence down or speeding it up. You can also try clicking the button 6 times, as the system doesn't always pick up each click.
Pen won't work after charging - The pen turns itself off when you plug it in. you will need to turn it on again after you charge it.
Light ring flashes white - This indicates that you have a short circuit in your cartridge or attachment. Remove the cartridge or attachment and press the button. The ring light should illuminate according to your power setting.
